Zuma to address FS ANC delegates this weekend

President Jacob Zuma congratulated the newly elected President of the United States of America (USA), Donald Trump, on his victory.

South Africa’s President Jacob Zuma is expected to give a keynote address at Botshabelo on Saturday.
Zuma will address thousands of ANC delegates from across the Free State Province at the party’s provincial manifesto launch. ANC provincial chairperson, Ace Magashule, is also expected to speak at the event that will be held at the Kaiser Sebothelo Stadium. The festivities will start at 9 o’clock in the morning.
According to ANC spokesperson, Thabo Meeko, the Kaiser Sebothelo Stadium can accommodate more than 20 000 people. The ANC has nationally launched the 2016 Local Government Election Manifesto at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth, in the Eastern Cape Province, last month.
The party has said that the manifesto was expected to be an unambiguous expression of the people’s views about the type of society they wanted. The manifesto is guided by the ANC’s 2016 theme, “Year of Advancing People’s Power: Local Government is in your Hands” .
The ANC believes the manifesto will be the culmination of an extensive consultation process across all sectors of society on how best to deal with the country’s challenges, including unemployment, poverty and inequality. – Refilwe Gaeswe
