YCL embraces NC further education progress

REFILWE MEKOA

The various human rights in existence have limits and a person cannot apply his or her rights to the extent that they infringe on the rights of others.

This is according to the general secretary of the Youth Communist League, Buti Manamela, during his visit to the Northern Cape. Manamela said he had engaged with employed and unemployed youth about the various challenges that affect them.

He highlighted that the ANC has changed the lives of young people for the past 20 years. Manamela added that other political parties are dreaming of taking over the Northern Cape and don’t have the interest of residents, but that of those who have already benefitted during apartheid, at heart.

“For the first time in centuries there is a university in Kimberley where more than 400 students have been registered. We think there has been significant progress over the last five years. More young people have access to bursaries, free further education and training,” he said.

Manamela acknowledged that it is untrue that most young people have joined the radical side of the political landscape and emphasised that the youth are not willing to believe lies of people with false prophecies.
