A 20-year old woman has been arrested with drugs and a substantial amount of cash during a blitz police operation in the Bloemfontein CBD.
The arrest follows after the patrolling members of the Bloemfontein Flying Squad acted on a tip-off from the crime intelligence operatives that there is a certain mini-supermarket in the CBD of which the owner is been suspected of dealing in drugs.
The operating team conducted a joint-intelligence driven operation and raided the reported supermarket. Upon arrival at the shop, the operating team found a 20-year old woman behind the counter.
During immediate search, the members uncovered 20 pieces of an assortment of CAT and Cocaine drugs wrapped in small plastic bags valued at R10 000, as well as R5 000 in cash been hidden under the cash register.
The woman was immediately arrested. She is to appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate`s Court on Monday, 28 August on charges of dealing in drugs.
