One lucky Bloemfontein Courant reader stands a chance of winning a box of De Krans Wine. The De Krans Wine Cellar is situated along the upper reaches of the picturesque Gamka River Valley near Calitzdorp.
The history of the farm dates back to 1890 when the current owner’s great grandfather bought part of the first farm established in Calitzdorp, named Buffelsvallei (“Buffalo Valley”) on the edge of the municipal boundary of Calitzdorp. The current owner and winemaker is now taking advantage of the unique Calitzdorp terroir to produce great quality Cape ports and table wines from a whole range of interesting grape varieties.
De Krans Chenin Blanc
De Krans Wines in Calitzdorp offers a unique, boutique style Chenin Blanc packed with fresh ripe tropical fruit, ripe banana, guava and passion fruit, with hints of lime. The taste is well-rounded, with a fresh acidity and a lingering aftertaste. This wine is light enough to drink on its own (well chilled), but also pairs well with summer salads and seafood dishes.
To stand a chance to win, answer the question below:
With which food types does the Chenin Blanc pair well?
Winners will be announced on 27 February 2020.
