Many have expressed their sadness, anger and shock at the killing of a local funny man, socialite and house music disc jockey (DJ) in Bloemfontein.
Thato Booysen, known to his peers as “BlueBoy Bond”, was killed at Street Corner braai, a local hangout spot in Bochabela location Bloemfontein on Saturday night.
Police spokesperson, Ikobeng Hlubi, says the socialite was killed at about 23h40 at the braai and pub spot. It is not yet clear what led to the killing of the 32-year-old male. According to the spokesperson, he was shot four times in his back and in his chest.
One suspect was arrested today with regards to the murder. The name of the suspect will only be released by the police after he has made an appearance in court. The date for the suspect’s court appearance is not yet known. Police investigations are still underway.
Local radio station in Bloemfontein, CUTFM had a tribute show for the local musician. Many have taken to the deceased’s Facebook page to express their about his passing. Here is what they had to say:
