Whose battle is it anyway?

How many times have you found yourself in a spiritual or emotional battle, wondering what God would want you to do?

In 2 Chron 20v15 God says that the battle is not ours but His. This must be one of the most difficult things to do. How can God expect us to just leave this battle and step back? We feel that we need to make sure the other party understands how we feel and why we are right. People can’t be allowed to just get away with lying like that.

This is where we need to realize that God sees the bigger picture. He knows how to handle situations without us being a part of it. In verse 17 God says that we should stand still and wait. This comes down to obedience. Are we going to be obedient and reap the reward thereof?

Or are we going to sort this out ourselves and probably carry it with us the rest of our lives? If we want the peace referred to in John 14v27 we have to allow God to control all situations. Then we will experience the calm in the midst of the storm.
