The year is off to a hot start and some of our readers are geared and ready to take on the new year. Some start the year jam-packed with resolutions while others choose to embrace the year as it comes. Bloemfontein Courant spoke to some of our readers to find out what they have planned for 2023.

I stopped believing in New Year’s Resolutions a while ago. I believe you should have goals and break down your goals on a month-to-month basis. It is also important to keep track of your goals monthly to evaluate where you find yourself. My biggest goal of the year is to start a business on the side to provide me with a second stream of income. I do not want to get caught out surviving on my salary alone.

This year on my wishlist, I will be focusing more on tourism on the western side. It is one of my goals to invest in the cooking industry and I would love to settle and introduce Ghanaian cuisine to the South African hospitality industry.

Choosing to be positive, is the best thing you can do for yourself and those around you. This year, I choose positivity in every circumstance.

This year I plan to quit smoking, exercise more, save more money/spend less money, and spend more time with my family.
