Weather leads to fire at bank

A thunder storm over Virginia in the Northern Free State has led to a fire at a local bank.

According to Francois Klaassen from the Matjhabeng municipality’s fire brigade, water leaking from the roof caused an electric surge, which led to certain office equipment catching fire.

Klaassen explains they managed to contain the fire and it did not spread. Officials are still assessing the extent of the damage.
