Things returned to normal at the Performing Arts Centre of the Free State (Pacofs) in Bloemfontein after water and electricity at the theatre complex had been restored.
The Mangaung Metro Municipality (MMM) turned off the institution’s water and electricity earlier this week due to non-payment.
Office Coordinator of Pacofs, Dorah Orlu, told Bloemfontein Courant that water had been restored as a result of an agreement between the MMM and the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure.
“It should be noted that Pacofs has not defaulted in anyway on its utilities bill. Pacofs receives invoices from Public Works and pays these diligently.”
Orlu further said that all shows scheduled for this week will go ahead as a meeting was held with producers.
