Free State Government officials and members of the public are already making their way to the University of the Free State’s Vista Campus where Premier Sisi Ntombela is expected to deliver the State of the Province Address (Sopa).
The speech, set to take place after 9am, will come just a day after opposition parties and political analysts outlined their expectations.
The DA in the province told OFM News that they expect nothing new from Ntombela, but are hopeful that she will address questions relating to the rampant corruption that is allegedly going on in the province.
The party, during their alternative Sopa held yesterday, announced that they will try by all means to hold those in power accountable and will continue demanding answers relating to controversial cases such as the Vrede Dairy Project where over R334 million was looted out of the province into the Gupta-linked Estina Company.
Meanwhile, political analyst Dr Sethulego Matebesi told OFM News that Ntombela needs to speak on corruption as the Vrede Dairy Case and many others have over the years drawn much attention to the province.
He also alluded that questions relating to the state of health and education need to be addressed.
