Waiting expectantly

Brenda Myburgh

If there was something like "the seven deadly struggles" in life I am sure that waiting would be one of them. Yet, every day we are faced with waiting in line, for service, answers, replies, traffic, a husband/wife, to have a baby, be financially free, buying, selling, a new job and many more. For me personally it is the letting-go part while waiting that is very hard. I keep on thinking of ways to speed up the waiting process. I might even get to the point of thinking "Am I supposed to wait so long? Did I not miss it already?" Psalm 25 v 5 "Guide me in Your truth and faithfulness and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; for You (you only and altogether) do I wait (expectantly) all the day long."(Amplified). After reading this I am reminded that I am waiting for God only, not for man. It is not man that blesses me or wants what is best for me; it is only my Father in heaven. We are also to wait expectantly, knowing and believing that what is to come will be much greater than anything we could have comprehended. Wait expectantly on your Father, excited about the wonderful new plans He has for you.
Blessings
