Residents in various parts of Bloemfontein have been affected by a pipe burst on the Bloemwater pipeline between the Dehoek and Uitkyk reservoir.
According to a statement by the Mangaung Metro Municipality (MMM) this is on the mainline that supplies water to the city.
Repair work is projected to take up to 36 hours as technicians are currently tending to the site.
Water tankers will furthermore be dispacted to assist affected areas. MMM will regularly update residents on the restoration progress.
