Born and bred in the City of Roses, Levert Solomons is now, like many other artists, keeping his music alive by using online platforms which allow people to enjoy the music from the comfort of their own homes.
Singing in church since the tender age of six, Solomons has performed at various events in the city such as Macufe and the Vrystaat Arts Festival. He is also a member of the Bloemfontein Mannekoor and has made his TV debut when he sang the national anthem at a national netball tournament early last year.
He explained that his love for music started when his grandfather used to play vinyl records in the house and he just started singing along. Solomons told Bloemfontein Courant he started his YouTube channel a month ago and hopes to share the gift he has been blessed with as well as making a difference in the lives of people.
He believes that music makes people feel better at any given point. He hopes to be the positive change that people need with the music he presents. He explained that he covers music from various artists and genres and is also planning to start sharing songs that he wrote himself and host talks on his channel regarding relevant topics that come up in daily society.
For him, being able to build his own brand, has been a dream for almost five years. He now hopes to even take it further by launching albums, performing on global stages and making an impact.
