It all started as a normal Thursday for 18-year-old Kgomotso King when she went to collect her medication at the Bloemspruit Clinic with her two-month-old baby, Bokang, but things took a turn for the worst.

It is alleged that she collected her medication at the local clinic on 30 July 2020 at around 15:45 when she queued with her baby at the clinic.

She was informed by another female that no babies are allowed inside the clinic whereupon she then asked an unknown female behind her to hold her baby while she went inside. Upon her return, King noticed that the woman holding her baby had disappeared with her son.

According to Police spokesperson, Colonel Thandi Mbambo, she didn’t report the matter to the clinic nor to the police immediately but went to Motheo FM to ask for assistance and only reported the matter to the police around 22:15.

“A case of kidnapping was registered for further investigation and anyone with information should please contact WarrantOfficer Korney van Zyl at 083 456 5683 or contact Crime Stop at 08600 10111, alternatively send information via MySAPS App,” said Mbambo.
