Three young, passionate and hardworking Bloemfontein-born artists will be singing their hearts out to R&B legend Tevin Campbell with a tribute concert titled I’m ready this March. Keegan Martin, together with Shanice May and Lesley Terblanche, will be performing some of the greatest R&B hits ever made in the music industry.
R&B singer, Campbell, remains one of the industry’s most beloved music vocalists. He is best known for his single, Can We Talk. Martin, who is known country wide for his amazing singing talent, is said to bring a tribute show like no other to the City of Roses. The tribute show, I’m Ready, is from the second studio album by Campbell, titled I’m ready, released on 26 October 1993.
Martin, who was born in Bloemfontein, grew up in Johannesburg and made it to the top 7 on the largest viewed and most popular reality show in the country, Idols South Africa, and has since been touring throughout the country to pursue his dreams.
Both Terblanche and May have been on Idols South Africa and have been working tirelessly to make their mark in the music industry. Terblanche, who recently released a single on Soundcloud, said that he is excited to perform old school hits as it is the foundation of music as a whole. “I’m feeling extremely excited for the simple fact that I get to perform old school music. People must remember to bring their dancing shoes and know that both nights will be an emotional roller coaster,” he said.
Tickets are limited, so come sing along to some old school R&B music as these artists pay tribute to an R&B icon at the Windmill Casino in Bloemfontein on 1 and 2 March 2019. Tickets are available from computicket at R150 per person and no under 18s are allowed. -Pierce van Heerden
