Trial of murder accused, Johannes du Toit, postponed

The case against murder accused Johannes du Toit (Toy-Toy), still can’t proceed as the court is still waiting for an instruction from director of public prosecutions whether the trial should be heard in the magistrate’s or the high court.

The court case has been postponed to August 27th in the Bloemfontein Regional court this morning, the prosecutor, Leon Ehlers, confirmed.

Du Toit stands accused of killing Michael Jacobs on November 08 last year, close to a popular pub in the city.

He allegedly shot Jacobs five times, in what he allegedly calls as self-defence. He is out on bail of R1000 which was granted in November last year.
