Time again for Little Miss FS entries

Previous Miss Free State with co-organisers, Anri Powell and Yolande Koupis

For all the beautiful little roses in Bloemfontein, Little Miss Free State entries are now open and every little girl between the age of four and ten is invited to enter and enjoy the experience of being transformed into a queen.

Yolandé Koupis, owner of Perky Jams marketing and promotions company and co-owner of Miss FS Pageant, told Bloemfontein Courant that Little Miss Free State entries are now open. This competition differs from those like the Miss Free State Teen and Miss Free State SA.

For the teens and older girls for example, they look at various aspects – how entrants present themselves, how they handle different situations, how they treat people around them, and, most importantly, if they are strong enough to carry the brand and make their voice heard. “What we expect from the winners is for them to carry themselves with dignity and pride and uphold the Miss Free State’s name out there,” she said.

In the case of the little ones, Koupis said, they go about it in a different way, looking for uniqueness in each category. They aim to promote an all-inclusive and fun experience for the children and though they usually have a spectacular gala event for Little Miss Free State at the Sand du Plessis Theatre, this year will be different and the occasion will be held in one day at Loch Logan Waterfront on 10 April 2021.

“The crowning will be very different than in previous years as we are doing our best to keep everyone safe and adhere to the Covid-19 protocols.” One profile photo and a 60-second video of why they want to be crowned are required.

The auditions will be held at Loch Logan Waterfront 10 April 2021 from 10:00 – 12:00. All documents to be sent to HELLO@ MISSFREESTATE.CO.ZA and/or 074-047- 5192 contacted for more information. Make sure to follow their official Miss Free State SA Facebook page for more information.
