Audiences at Moods and Flavors in Heidedal are soon to be wowed with epic performances during the planned Thursday Night Live sessions which are to kick off on 7 February 2019.
The venue manager at Moods and Flavors and producer of the Moods Music Series, Angelo Mockie, said that Bloemfontein’s die-hard music lovers can expect to be swept off their feet with great performances by different artists.
Although Moods and Flavors is a traditional jazz venue, they would like to cater for all music tastes by bringing in other genres and art forms. “We are also looking forward to hosting cabaret shows,” Mockie said, adding that the Thursday Night Live sessions will be aimed at showcasing local talent. “We hope that these type of sessions will empower upcoming musicians, poets and masters of ceremonies, among others. Every show will be rehearsed before the performance. It will be scheduled and advertised in advance so the artists can help to market their own shows. So far we have received good response from our local artists,” Mockie said.
He hopes lovers of music and art will come and support this initiative. “Moods is a 120-seater venue and we are hoping that our Thursday Night Live sessions will become an official hangout spot for both artist and the local music lovers,” he added.
Tickets for the Thursday Night Live sessions will be sold at R30 per person, which goes directly to the artists. Interested artists can email Mockie at firstname.lastname@example.org.
