Thrilling sport on offer at Macufe

Apart from performances by major arts productions and music stars, sport remains one of Macufe’s major highlights.
Boxing fans will feast on some of the most exciting fights that the country has not seen in a long while. The fight between Dr. Ntsele and Motsoake Moselesele has been sanctioned by WBF Australia and is set for 12 rounds.
While Macufe is accustomed to hosting heavyweights in culture and music it will for the first time host a heavyweight championship bout.
The highly rated South African Hein van Bosch will be battling it out with Anton Nell over 12 rounds.
“These two fighters are not number one contenders for nothing,” says promoter Lebo Mohako. “They are the cream of the crop and a fierce and bloody war is expected because there’s bad blood between the two fighters.”
Ringside tickets are R100 and the others R80.
On the same night there will be a 120kg Super-heavyweight Cage Rage between Jakki Fourie and Mark Jordaan while in the lightweight Liam Schmidt will take on Matthew Christiansen. All the fights are on Sunday at Boet Troskie Hall, Bloemfontein.
Macufe Cup, featuring a game of top class football from major PSL teams, takes place on October 13 from 14:00 at the Free State Stadium. The battle is never only on the field whenever Kaizer Chief plays Bloemfontein Celtic. The match has all the ingredients that can make it a scorcher especially since their 4-3 loss to Siwele in last year’s Macufe Cup. Tickets are R30, R50 and R60 at Computicket.
