Three injured as minibus taxi crashes into fence

At least three women have been injured and thirteen school children have escaped unharmed after a minibus taxi crashed into a fence on President Brand street in Bloemfontein this morning.

Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of the minibus taxi lost control of the taxi when he drove into a fence.

It’s believed that the school children were on a field trip at the time of the accident.

The exact detail to the cause of the accident will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.

Netcare911 paramedics managed to stabilise the three women on scene before transporting them to a nearby hospital for further medical care.

Meanwhile, a twenty-four-year-old man has sustained minor injuries after he was struck on Du Plessis Avenue in Langenhoven Park, Bloemfontein this afternoon.

Reports from the scene indicate that the man was crossing the road when he was struck.
