At around 01:00am this morning six men went to Sasko Bloemfontein Bakery under the pretence of reporting for duty. One of the security officers on duty suspected and questioned if the men were indeed employed at Sasko but could not get clarity.
Three suspects entered the premises while three stayed behind. Once inside on the suspects took out a firearm and pointed it at the security officer requesting they open the safe, to which the security officer said they did not have the keys.
Free State Police Spokesperson Maselela Langa says one of the suspects pressed the panic button when attempting to open the security gate for the other three imposters who were still outside and investigators found explosives and firearm close the to the bakery.
The three suspects who were caught and arrested on the scene are aged between 28 and 32 years and expected to appear in court on Monday.
