Three suspects appeared in the Virginia Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 28 August 2020 in connection with the murder of 56-year-old Leslie Mosikidi. This comes after Virginia detectives received information which led to the arrest of the three suspects aged 26, 27 and 28.

The suspects including one female and two males were arrested at their respective homes in Monyakeng, Wesselsbron on Tuesday night, 25 August 2020.

According to police spokesperson Brigadier Motantsi Makhele, during the course of the investigation police received more information which led to the recovery of the deceased’s belongings. These include two plasma television sets, shoes, a cell phone and blue Mercedes Benz.

“The trio fled to their hometown Monyakeng after they allegedly robbed and murdered Mosikidi at his Virginia home. The lifeless body of Mosikidi was discovered on Monday 24 August 2020 by his live-in partner who alerted the neighbours and they in turn summoned the Virginia police,” said Makhele.
