The third body of a male was found in the Vaal Dam yesterday which borders the Free State and Gauteng.

This comes after a car crashed into the barrier of the Prinsloo Magrietta Bridge and fell into the Vaal dam earlier this week.

According to spokesperson for the Free State Police, Brigadier Motantsi Makhele, the bodies of two other men who were believed to be in the same vehicle, were retrieved from the Vaal Dam in Oranjeville on Tuesday by police divers.

The third body was found after police divers and search and rescue teams resumed their search yesterday afternoon for the third day in a row.

The help of a towing service was roped in for assistance and a red vehicle was lifted out of the dam at about 10:00 yesterday morning. The third body was found trapped inside.

A case of culpable homicide was registered for further investigation.
