Inspired by the desire to offer a unique experience that goes beyond the everyday routine, AfroFeast aims to combine rhythmic music, delectable food, and vibrant art to create an immersive festival that provides a sense of fulfilment and celebration with the City of Roses.
According to the managing director for KM Holdings and AfroFeast, Kholofelo Maleka, the concept of the event is to enrich the local event scene by introducing a multi-sensory experience to entertain and foster cultural appreciation within the community.
“Imagine an energetic and colourful atmosphere where rhythmic music fills the air, creating a lively and engaging environment. The festival would radiate a sense of joy and unity, with attendees enjoying immersive experiences and connecting deeply with the festival’s essence. It’s a place where every moment is filled with excitement and meaningful interactions, leaving a lasting impression of happiness and cultural enrichment,” he expressed.
Maleka highlighted that the ideal AfroFeast would be a vibrant celebration of life and culture where locals can expect an array of food stalls offering a variety of dishes from local and international cuisines.
“A lineup of talented musicians and DJs across different genres that will provide a lively and engaging musical atmosphere,” he added.
The feast is set to take place on 16 November at Ramblers Club from 10:00. Tickets are available from Computicket at R250 per person. Ticket sales start next week.
“By delivering exceptional event experiences year after year, AfroFeast builds a strong reputation and loyal following. Effective marketing, storytelling, and community engagement further solidify its identity, transforming it from a single event into a recognised lifestyle brand that embodies its core values and vision,” concluded Maleka.
