Bloemfontein – The Chevrolet Knights are hoping to have Dean Elgar back in their side for the clash against the Dolphins at Chevrolet Park starting tomorrow.
Elgar is recovering from an Achilles tendon injury sustained against Australia during the recent Test series.
Elgar has a fitness test this morning, and will know between 9 and 10 whether or not he will play his last match for the Knights.
Coach Sarel Cilliers told COURANT Elgar’s return will be a massive boost for the side.
The Knights also feel they won’t really have pressure on them for the last match of the season.
The second placed Knights still have a mathematical, but unlikely chance of winning the series, but the second or third places are up for grabs.
Their opponents from Durban are currently occupying the third spot.
Due to the nature of the comeptiion, they will target a win and hope for the best, however, it’s not always in their hands.
Cilliers said they’re just going to do what they have to do and the rest will sort itself out.
Tomorrow’s match at Chevrolet Park gets underway at 10 o’ clock.
