The Toyota Cheetahs have already had a magnificent Super Rugby season but the pressure is on to continue this success in the Absa Currie Cup.
And now sponsors Toyota are looking for the best support squad the team can have, launching an amazing search for a new squad of cheerleaders that will support the team as they take on the rest of South Africa in our oldest rugby competition.
What’s more – you don’t have to be a professional model or dancer to enter! All you need is a passion for the Cheetahs and to be at Loch Logan on 19 July where you will get your chance to become a Toyota Cheetahs Cheerleader.
After entrenching themselves as the Cheetahs’ number one partner on and off the field, Toyota have now decided to give fans an opportunity to be part of the product they see on the field, and the Cheetah Cheerleader search is the first step.
Girls can simply pitch up, sign up and showcase their moves in front of the judges. With a simple one-minute routine, you can become part of the Cheetahs journey to success with the top 20 being chosen to compete in the final on 20 July.
“As a proud sponsor of the Toyota Cheetahs we thought it appropriate to find a way to bring fans closer to the team and what can be closer than being part of the cheerleading team. This way fans can show their passion for the team and be a proud part of the product that is Toyota Cheetahs rugby at the same time,” Kerry Roodt, General Manager: Marketing Communications of Toyota said.
And that’s not all – the true Cheetahs supporters will get to vote for the finalists with the top 10 not only receiving hampers from Toyota but also becoming a part of the Cheerleading squad that will dance at all the home Currie Cup games this year.
So what are you waiting for? Get down to Loch Logan and be part of the Toyota Cheetahs’ success.
Participants need to be 18 years and older.
