During the period of His ministry on earth, which was roughly three years, Jesus banished disease from the nation of Israel.
He healed all kinds of diseases and brought the dead back to life. I can’t help but think of all the physicians in Jesus’ day that made a lot less money than they did before He started ministering. The sick went to Jesus, who was more effective and provided His services for free.
Now I would love to tell you about the healings done by Christ: Jesus healed a man with a crippled hand in Matthew 12v10-14; He healed two blind men at Capernaum in Matthew 9v27-31; a women who suffered from a discharge of blood for twelve years in Luke 8v42; a boy who suffered from epilepsy by a demon in Luke 9v37; and Malcus, whose ear was cut off by the Apostle Peter at the arrest of Jesus Christ in John 18v10.
The healings performed by Christ are not all recorded in Scripture, but I can assure you that there were many. What a mighty awesome Healer we serve.
The same man who did all these things while on earth is not dead, but alive (Luke 24v6) and seated at the right hand of God (1 Peter 3v22).
He is still the healer of billions of people around the world. He heals through the power of the Holy Spirit as well as through medicine manufactured from his creation. Remember that he heals when it suits Him and not simply when you require Him to.
Either way, let us have the same mind which was Christ’s when he prayed to God and asked something of Him: “Your will be done…” –Matthew 26v42.
