Teboho Moloi

Award-winning gospel sensation Teboho Moloi had social media abuzz after he announced the launch of his seventh studio album, which will take place this week in the City of Roses.

The album titled “Ya Re Tshepisiteng” will be launched at Hoffman Square at 11:00 on 18 March.

Born and raised in Kestell in the Eastern Free State, Moloi had his first big break in 2005 when he recorded Emmanuel. He started singing at the St. John’s Apostolic Church at the age of 12.

Moloi recorded his new work at the height of the pandemic. He dedicated the album to all those who are weary and heavy laden, as well as to those who live in agony and despair. “It is for everyone who has had to face the deadly scourge of the pandemic. May it be a healing ointment that will soothe all our wounds, seen and unseen, restoring our minds, bodies and spirits.”

Gospel artists Thinah Zungu and Sello Malete will also feature on the album. Moloi has performed with the likes of S’fiso Ncwane, Solly Mahlangu, Rebecca Malope, Hlengiwe Mhlaba, Benjamin Dube and Joyous Celebration.
