Taps run dry in two Bloem suburbs

Areas in Bloemfontein have been left without water since last week, owing to supply interruptions from the Caledon River.
The suburbs of Lourier Park and Pellissier were immediately affected as a result. According to the Mangaung Metro Municipal spokesperson, Qondile Khedama, they have already dispatched water tankers and restoration work has started.
He also says they have requested their service provider, Bloem Water, to ensure that they deploy enough teams to shorten the spell of the interruption.
In the meantime, he says their team is on standby to assist with water tankers to all affected areas especially – to those who had no supply for the last three days. – OFM News
