Bloemfontein – Moroka Swallows clinched a much-needed 1-0 victory over Platinum Stars in their Premier Soccer League (PSL) match played at Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg on Tuesday evening, thanks to Felix Obada’s 55th minute strike.

Swallows came to the match desperate for three points following a disappointing loss to Pirates. The Dube Birds lost 1-0 to the Buccaneers and were hoping to stop Stars from achieving their second consecutive victory at home.

Dikwena crushed Maritzburg United 2-1 and were looking for their second straight victory at the expense of the struggling Birds.

Swallows are now at the tenth spot with 30 points. Stars remain at the fifth spot with 35 points.

In tonight’s matches, Kaizer Chiefs welcome Golden Arrows at FNB Stadium while Black Aces are at home to Pirates at Orlando Stadium.

Elsewhere, Supersport United host Maritzburg United at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

All matches kick off at 19:30.
