Suspects wanted after Free State school robbery


Computers, laptops, tablets and a mixer system have been stolen from a high school in Kutloanong, Odendaalsrus, while the school’s security guard was attacked.

Police report that on Friday 8 March 2019 at about 02:25 a security guard was on duty at Seqhobong High School in Kutloanong, Odendaalsrus when seven men armed with guns attacked him.

“Apparently both the security guards hands and feet were tied up. The suspects gained entrance into the computer room of the school, where they stole 8 computers, 5 laptops, 28 tablets and the mixer system for sound. No shots were fired and nobody was injured,” said police spokesperson, Stephen Thakeng.

Thakeng added that the suspects fled the scene on foot and the incident was reported to the Odendaalsrus Police Station. A case of business robbery was registered for further investigation and no one has been arrested as yet.
