Suspected stolen livestock found on Mountain

The local Anti-Stock Theft Community with the help of two police officials recently successfully recovered 151 suspected stolen livestock on top of the Matsieng Mountain in Qwaqwa.

On 30 January, at about 17:00, members of the Anti-Stock Theft Community received information about suspected stolen livestock at the Matsieng Mountain. According to a police statement, the livestock is believed to have been stolen from KwaZulu-Natal.

Upon arrival, the team found 117 sheep, 8 cattle and 26 goats.  An inquiry has been opened and investigations are continuing.
