OFM News reports that Police spokesperson, Motantsi Makhele, says the two are also suspects of stock theft.
They were apprehended on Saturday in relation to the murder of Brendin Horner. Makhele says these two suspected culprits, aged between 32 and 43, were arrested by Senekal detectives at Fateng tse Ntho in Paul Roux.
Makhele adds that the two will make their first court appearance in the Senekal Magistrate’s court on Tuesday.
OFM News previously reported that Horner’s body was found at an open space on the farm, and that his body was discovered with injuries to his head and face.
He had been tied up with a rope around his neck.
Police received a call from other farmers reporting the attack at De Rots Farm and while police were on the scene they seized a knife.
His Toyota Hilux was later found with blood stains, abandoned near Duikfontein Farm in Paul Roux.
“Bloodstained clothes and shoes were found and will be taken for forensic tests. The two men are alleged to be stock thieves and it is suspected that the deceased could have spotted them on that fateful day,” Makhele further adds.
