Suspect to re-appear in FS court after teen’s murder

The suspect charged with the murder of his 14-year-old girlfriend at Parys in the Free State will again appear in court next week for his bail application.

OFM News reports that Tshokolo Ranketsi (26) has been remanded in custody and will re-appear again on Monday 26 October 2020 in the Parys Magistrate’s Court for his bail application after the alleged murder of his 14-year-old girlfriend, Edwinah Bolosha, says police spokesperson, Motantsi Makhele. This comes after the suspect appeared at the same court yesterday.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Bolosha was last seen with the suspect. Information was followed up by the police where her body was discovered, in an open veld close to her home, covered in a huge pile of rocks.

Bolosha was allegedly last seen by her uncle five days before he reported her missing, says Makhele.

According to the police, her uncle last saw her when she left for a sleepover at a friend’s house. The uncle then went to the Tumahole Police Station to report her as missing. A case of murder was registered and the boyfriend was arrested.
