An eighteen year old Kekeletso Molefe from Ladybrand in the Free State says he’s grateful that he will be studying abroad.
Molefe is amongst fifty-eight students who left Bloemfontein this week to go and study Medicine at Nanchang University, China. He said he will make the best out of the opportunity as he was brought up by his grandmother with no sustainable income at home after his mother died in 2006.
Molefe matriculated in 2013 at Sehlabeng Secondary School, Ladybrand and explains that his high school journey wasn’t easy. He promised to focus on his studies and avoid temptations that would lead to losing his bursary.
“Since I’m far away from home, I will always think of my background and therefore will work hard towards achieving my degree. It is not a comfort zone and realize that my dreams are becoming a lifetime reality and I am very excited and thank the premier Ace Magashule for the scholarship,” he said.
