Strong winds and thunder storms that occurred across the Free State and Northern Cape yesterday and last night resulted in various electricity outages and damage to structures.
In the Northern Cape all major faults have been restored while a few isolated faults are still being addressed.
In the Free State most of the faults have been restored, however, customers in Hoopstad and Tikwana are still without electricity.
Our technical staff are busy with repairs and we expect to have power restored in the late evening.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused while we resolve this situation.
