Steak with mushroom topping
Serves 4
Ingredients: | |
800g | whole beef fillet |
Seasoning | |
30ml | olive oil |
250g | brown mushrooms |
1 | small onion, chopped |
30ml | whole grain mustard |
100ml | creamed cottage cheese |
1 | egg, lightly beaten |
Method:
Season the whole fillet and brown in a pan until just under done.
Remove from the pan.
In the same pan, heat the oil and fry the mushrooms with the onion and mustard. Season well.
Add the creamed cottage cheese and the beaten egg and mix well.
Cut the fillet into thick slices and arrange on a baking tray.
Top with the mushroom mixture and bake at 160°C for 10 to 15 minutes or until done.
