Bloemfontein – Having lost 2-0 in the first round, Steach United will be looking to get revenge when they travel to Greenpoint Stadium to face Young Pirates in the Northern Cape SAFA Second Division match to take place on Saturday.
The match kicks off at 15:00.
United beat Hungry Lions in their last encounter and the latter’s owner, Simon Mguye, said a win would keep them in the running for the title.
“We want to win this league. There is no way we must draw or lose; they’re the only team that beat us, so it’s payback time,” he told Courant Sport.
“Take nothing away from them; they are a quality side. However, it’s a must win game for the sake of our title hopes.”
Mguye highlighted that Pirates, who lie fifth, are a very intimidating side in their home ground, having drawn their last two matches at home.
However, he added that his side would have to be at their best.
United lie second on the log and in their next matches, they will host log-leaders Kuruman Kicks followed by N/C Liverpool.
According to Mguye, a win against Pirates is imperative to boost their confidence ahead of a top-spot battle against Kicks on Wednesday, 9 April.
