Stay safe by avoiding binge drinking

The South African government has called on citizens to enjoy the last remaining moments of the festive while drinking safely.

In a statement released by the department of Trade, Industry and Competition, citizens are urged to spend the last festive moments safely by avoiding binge drinking.

Not only can binge drinking be hazardous to your health, but it can also have a long-term effect on your emotional well-being.

The statement further warns that binge drinking can “expose you and others to the risk of injury or even death.”
