The Bloemfontein SPCA is appealing to the community to donate good-quality green lucerne for the farm animals at their facility.
In a Facebook post, the organisation states: “Many of our animals are currently not in the best condition and would greatly benefit from the nutritional boost that fresh lucerne provides. This high-quality feed would make a real difference to their health and recovery.
Anyone with lucerne to spare, or contacts who can provide lucerne, is urged to contact the Bloemfontein SPCA at 051 447 3801.
“Any amount would be greatly appreciated and will go directly to helping our animals get back to optimal health,” the SPCA said.
