Soccer tournament to be held in Botshabelo

In an effort to give back to his community, Kamohelo Ntheri gathered a few of his friends and decided to host a soccer tournament to raise funds for learners of Kgorathuto Secondary School, situated in D-section in Botshabelo.

“A lot of school children feel discouraged from attending classes. Some even stop attending school because of poverty. It’s the little things that we take for granted that mean so much to others, such as toiletries, sanitary pads and shoes. So we decided to make an event out of it and not just hand over these things to them, but let them also have fun,” said organiser, Kamohelo Ntheri.

The tournament will be held at Arrows and Skyline Grounds from 09:00 until 18:00 on 7 and 14 September 2019. 16 teams will be taking part and affiliation registration costs R750. The first prize is R7000 and the second prize is R3000. Both top teams will get medals, while the winning team will walk away with a trophy.

Proceeds, along with the donated funds, shoes, sanitary pads and toiletries will be given to the learners at Kgorathuto Secondary School who are in need.
