Siyasanga Mophethe from Bloemfontein advances as Mrs South Africa 2025 Semi-Finalist, championing empowerment and change

Bloemfontein’s Siyasanga Mophethe has been selected as a semi-finalist for Mrs South Africa 2025, using the platform to challenge conventional beauty standards and drive meaningful change.

“I entered Mrs South Africa because I saw it as a powerful platform to celebrate not only beauty, but also strength, resilience, and authenticity,” Mophethe said. “I wanted to share my unique story and empower others to pursue their dreams fearlessly.”

As the only semi-finalist from Bloemfontein, Mophethe is committed to showcasing the city’s beauty and culture.

“I aim to collaborate with local businesses, artists, and influencers to amplify the unique vibrancy of our region,” she explained. “Most importantly, I want to empower young women, ladies, and mommies – encouraging them to spread their wings and soar.”

Mophethe is passionate about supporting vulnerable communities. “I provide mentorship, skills training, and financial literacy initiatives to help women start and grow businesses,” she said. “I also build homes for the homeless, focusing on elderly and child-headed households, and run a soup kitchen for children.”

The journey has not been without challenges. “Constant travel between Bloemfontein and Johannesburg has been exhausting, but it has reignited a spark in me,” she said. “This experience has been transformative.”

Mophethe hopes to use the competition to uplift others. “I am deeply committed to building homes, supporting women in difficult situations, and ensuring child nutrition,” she said.

Supporters can vote for her by sending “Siyasanga Mophethe” to 47587.
