Sixteen people were injured in an accident on the N8 approximately 35 kilometres outside Bloemfontein yesterday evening.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services responded to the accident and upon their arrival on scene found that two people were in a critical condition, following a side-impact accident between a motor vehicle and a light delivery vehicle.
All the injured people were treated on scene before they were transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events are the subject of a police investigation.
