Bloemfontein’s water woes might be a thing of the past soon. The Mangaung Metro Municipality this morning announced that “significant progress” has being made in the process of restoring water supply to all areas in the city.

Municipal spokesperson, Qondile Khedama, said that the water is now between the Uitkyk and Brandkop trajectory. “The Welbedacht plant is pumping at full capacity with three pumps,” said Khedama.

This will result in the two reservoirs needed for Brandkop to be filled quicker, ensuring faster restoration of water supply.

“The MMM will keep residents updated as information comes through from their technical department,” concluded Khedama.
