The annual Bloem Show is giving individuals the chance to showcase their dance or singing talent to the public.
This competition is held in partnership with Computicket, the Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation and the Golden Bean Free State Music Awards.
A few rules to remember is that only dancing and singing will be allowed in the talent competition. The performance may not be longer than three minutes. No orchestra will be allowed, only back tracks and contestants must be between the age of 18 and 30 years, with no professional career.
Auditions are held on Saturday 10 March at the Civic Theatre. Registration is compulsory between 08:00 and 13:00. The judging of the first 100 contestants will take place from 08:30.
Contestants will be judged by professional judges and will be looking out for individuals or groups with exceptional talent in singing or dancing. 20 semi-finalists will be chosen after the auditions.
The semi-finals will take place on Saturday 28 April from 16:30 until 18:00 the Bloem Show. The top ten will then be announced.
On Monday 30 April the finals will take place between 18:00 and 20:00 at Bloem Show. Winners will then be announced. The total cash prize adds up to R21 500.
