The Engen Pitch & Polish hits Bloemfontein once again and promises to be bigger and better as the national event celebrates ten years since it started. This is an exciting opportunity for local entrepreneurs to sharpen their pitching skills in order to take their ideas and business to the next level.

According to Marketing Manager of Raizcorp, Bronwyn Echardt, Engen Pitch & Polish is a world class event that has opened doors for many participants in the past decade. “Participants should come and spend the day with us. It is free of charge because of our amazing sponsors. Anyone can attend and there are so many awesome stories from previous delegates and contestants who have come back year after year and have gone on to do great things with their businesses,” she explained.

The entrepreneurial workshop is an initiative of Raizcorp, in partnership with Engen Petroleum, Nedbank, and Caxton Local Media. It takes place in eight towns around South Africa including Johannesburg, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and Burgersfort among others. The Bloemfontein event will happen on 27 July 2019 at President Hotel.
“Learning will be taken to the next level this year in terms of how the delegates will interact on the day. It will not be just some guy making a Power Point presentation as it will be very interactive environment. By the end of the day entrepreneurs will understand the kind of things an investor and client would want to know,” said Echardt.

Winner of the 2011 Engen Pitch & Polish, Annah Lelimo, from Welkom, owns Thabang Bakery which produces thousands of baked goods a day. She expressed that one of the biggest challenges her business faced was building a brand that is trusted in an industry dominated by big brands.

“I used what I learned at Engen Pitch & Polish to become clear in what I offer my customers and to properly articulate what the benefits are when buying from me. I also learned to package my services for different clients,” explained Lelimo.
The day promises to be fun and exciting with special gifts for participants. The session will be facilitated by Justin Cohen, best-selling author, international speaker and TV talk-show host. To take part in the workshop SMS “Pitch” to 43719 (SMSs charged at 50c) or visit www.pitchandpolish.com to complete an entry form, and maybe you will find that R1 million investment you desire.
