Senior staff suspended at Bloem Water

Four employees, including three senior managers, have been suspended at Bloem Water pending the outcome of several investigations.

Bloem Water spokesperson, Pule Mlambo, says the investigations are being conducted by various bodies, including the Hawks.

He says documents and electronic devices were confiscated by the Hawks as part of the investigation into possible corrupt tenders and the breach of the IT security system.

Bloem Water made media headlines recently, when employees made serious allegations, including that of nepotism against CEO, Limakatso Moorosi.

No indications of the turmoil at Bloem Water or the investigations were given to members of parliament's portfolio committee on social development during an oversight visit to the water board in September.
