Senior managers to lead service delivery programmes

This year’s Public Service Month under the theme: ‘Leading Public Service to Higher Productivity’ will be celebrated in the Free State on 02-06 September 2013.

In that week, the Batho Pele principles of Openness, Transparency and Redress will be promoted through the provision of public services and at various identified sites across the province.

The deployed team will also monitor whether officials consistently adhere to Batho Pele principles.

Senior managers from all the three spheres of government will be deployed to sites where they will render services relating to Education, Health, Human Settlement and Correctional Services.

The following sites have been identified:
Human Settlement Mangaung Metro (Brandwag Social Housing)
Matjhabeng (Merriespruit in Virginia)
Metsimaholo (Zamdela Hostel 4 )
Correctional Services Mangaung Metro (Grootvlei)
Kroonstad Correctional Services (both male & female prison)
Sasolburg Prison
Deneysville Groenpunt
Health Batho Clinic (Mangaung)
Meqheleng Clinic (Ficksburg)
Kagisanong (Mangaung)
Metsimaholo District Hospital (Sasolburg)
Education Bodibeng ba Thuto (Thaba Phatswa)
Justice Lefuma Primary (Qwaqwa)
Polokong Combined School
Albertina Sisulu (Edenburg)

 The week-long service delivery provision and monitoring will culminate into Service Delivery Day on Friday, 06 September 2013,where all government departments will provide services to the community of Phase 4 (Mangaung). Amongst others, the following services will be rendered:
• Department of Home Affairs (Applications for ID, Birth Certificates, Passports, etc.

• Health (Primary Health Care Services)
• Social Development & SASSA (Various grants applications)
• South African Police Services (Issuing of affidavits)
• Education (information on career guidance to Grade 8 learners)
The Service Delivery Day will take place as follows:

Venue:Relebeletse Primary School (open space)
