Scores of learners who failed to secure their matric certificates the first time around are expected at a briefing session for registration for the Second Chance Matric Support Programme in Bloemfontein today.

The programme, an initiative of the National Department of Basic Education, affords young and old an opportunity to rewrite their matric exams.

Director of the programme, Zarene Govender, says the information session is set to take place at the Twin City Mall in Heidedal today.

“We do allow people who want to improve (their matric results) in addition we do have broadcasting support and be able to go to classes. It also include broadcasting support – TV and radio or digital support,” she says.
