The Free State Hawks are requesting the public’s help in searching for a man who escaped from lawful custody in the Free State since February last year.
In a media statement released by SAPS (, it is confirmed that Sello Cedric Pinkoane (50) escaped from custody on 15 February 2023 and has not been found ever since.
He was arrested in Kroonstad on charges of fraud and theft in Sandton. The statement confirmed that a warrant for his arrest has been issued by the Kroonstad Magistrate’s Court for escape from lawful custody.
Lieutenant Colonel James Mahlatsi, who’s the investigating officer, urges the public to come forward with any information that could help the police in tracking down this wanted person.
